It's the real deal: Nikon makes the 1 V1 and J1 mirrorless compact system cameras officially official. The 1 system will use a hybrid phase and contrast detection auto focus, switching from a 73-point phase-detect mode into contrast detection with AF illuminator in low light conditions. 8mm, making it larger than that of a typical compact and smaller than the Micro Four Thirds sensor in the recently-reviewed Olympus E-P3. Nikon's new CX format sensor living inside the 1 V1 and J1 measures 13. These cameras will have a native ISO range of 100-3200 with a Hi setting available for a 6400 equivalent.



Flash for NIKON D3000?
